In 2024, excavation for a sewer project caused a hillside failure at my condominium community, leading to serious structural damage and ongoing litigation. Although my own unit was not physically damaged, the entire condominium project is now affected. I was approved for financing and expected to close, but the lender pulled the financing after reviewing the condominium project. I was told the property is ineligible because of litigation involving safety, structural soundness, habitability, and functional use. Financing cannot move forward until the litigation is settled and repairs are completed. Meanwhile, the financial consequences have become overwhelming. I’m behind on essential bills and property taxes, and I’m trying desperately to keep everything from falling apart while this case continues with no definite end date. I have documents supporting what happened, including the lender’s decision, communications from the condominium board, information about the structural damage, and my delinquent property taxes.
