Hi everyone,Tomorrow is the beginning of my work week with the lowest scheduled hours since I resumed full-time status. Twenty-one hours scattered over three shifts with a 40-mile round-trip commute for each shift. It's sort of a "blessing in disguise" because I'm getting so psychologically burned out, but obviously the motel doesn't accept "blessings" as forms of payment.I cashed out half my total available leave (both vacation and sick leave) in hopes of covering some of this coming week, but still only netted a couple of hundred extra on my paycheck yesterday and at least half of that was used up putting gas in my car's tank, covering the room this morning and misc incidentals.We've also got auto insurance coming up, storage unit payment due in a few days, and my partner's phone service is already up for renewal again.In other words, we still need help covering a full week's rent at the motel, or help changing tactics:There's a dumpy, "trap-house" style location near my work, that's part of this same motel chain where we're currently staying. Online reviews are not kind, but there are also somewhat optimistic ones that give me hope that it might not be quite as bad as it sounds.Rather than move everything there and risk having to flee if it *is* as bad as it sounds, I was thinking about renting a room there for a night just to see what it's like while keeping this room here. If we like it, we can relocate and save on commute costs. It might run a little higher because they do charge a pet fee where this one doesn't, but we'd be closer to our storage unit with all our belongings and would be easier for me to look for new employment that pays more than starvation wages. It would probably be easier to work on securing an apartment if we're in staying in the same town/county where we are trying to secure housing.If we *do* end up liking this other location, we'll move sometime next week and use the remainder of any funds on hand to cover a room at the new place.If we *don't* like it, we can return to the motel we're currently in, and regroup from there I guess.So.. in summary, please forgive me for asking for yet another burdensome sum. If I were by myself, I would just resign myself to sleeping in my car; but I don't want that for my partner and our border collie, so I must once again rattle my digital soupcan and hope I can keep them housed.Thank you again everyone in advance for your help and support.If you're willing AND able, please boost and if possible donate.
