Amongst all the holiday hullabaloo both at home and at my retail job, getting settled into our new place, an unexpected family funeral, and my zealous quest to not sleep on the floor, I failed to realize we won't be able to pull all the funds together in time for next months rent.I expected more pay from the vacation leave I cashed out than I actually received, and my partner's first payday at his new job won't be til after the rent payment would be late.So.. May 7, 2026 would be my 62nd birthday, which is the minimum age I could apply for Retirement benefits. This is separate from my current appeal for SSDI, although if my appeal is successful, I would be eligible for the maximum payout of SS Retirement as a supplement of my disability.
